Suing God? How unimaginative.

Now, if you want to see really frivolous and inane lawsuits, you should know about Jonathan Lee Riches. This clown is in a Federal pen, and spends his time dreaming up the most bizarre lawsuits for ridiculously high damages – usually in the billions of dollars.

This is my favorite one from the list. It takes him 57 pages to list everyone he is suing, including:

George W. Bush and Dick Cheney (but of course)

The Pope

The Queen of England

Hugo Chavez

Paris Hilton (huh?)

The Minnesota Vikings (for not winning a Super Bowl yet, maybe)

Adolf Hitler’s National Socialist Party (ya think ME from the other thread put him up to this??)

The Magna Carta (yes, he’s suing a document…)

Mount Rushmore (…and a mountain…)

World Wide Web (…and al-Gore’s invention)

Nordic Gods (better than Chambers, who’s only suing ONE god)

Sister Souljah (sorry, ST…or maybe he misspelled it?)

and last but not least, Skittles Candy

Be careful with calling him a Democrat; in Nebraska, the Unicameral Legislature is officially nonpartisan (though one can tell somewhat between Rs and Ds).

Still, the guy’s going out with a bang, isn’t he (he’s term limited in ‘08).

In the spirit of this, and all other lawsuits, I would like to take this time to announce that I am suing………everybody who doesn’t agree with me. That’s right, my lawyer says I have a great case against any human, or animal, who doesn’t think exactly like me. Since many of you on this site do not like the same football, baseball, and hockey teams that I do, unfortunately, this includes you. It’s nothing personal, it’s just that I feel that I am being persecuted for my beliefs.

See many of you soon in the courtroom, those subpoenas should be arriving any day now!!!

To know Ernie Chambers is to dispize him. I lived in Omaha for a year and a half. Chambers is a clown elected by a dysfunctional district. Chambers regularly flounts laws just because he is a state senator. (There is only one legislative house in Nebraska.) His fights over speeding tickets are legendary in Nebraska, as his hiding under his desk when a Crip or a Blood throws a brick through his window.

Umm, people. King Canute, it is said, actually knew well he couldn’t command the tide to go out on his order and merely wanted to show his people that the laws of nature are beyond the control of mankind.

Sounds to me like the Senator’s doing the same thing.
