Of course, on Monday I'm-a-damn-nut-job will still get to give a speech at Columbia University. Lee Bollinger, the simpering leftist president of the university has released a statement on the talk. This is part of it:

Columbia, as a community dedicated to learning and scholarship, is committed to confronting ideas—to understand the world as it is and as it might be....Necessarily, on occasion this will bring us into contact with beliefs many, most or even all of us will find offensive and even odious. We trust our community, including our students, to be fully capable of dealing with these occasions, through the powers of dialogue and reason.

Whoa...hold the phone there. Wasn't it just about a year ago that a mob stormed the stage and disrupted a scheduled talk by Jim Gilchrist of the Minutemen at, of all places....Columbia University? And what was Mr. Bollinger's response then? He blamed the College Republicans for hosting the event. Apparently there are some ideas that the ivory-tower types won't address through the powers of dialogue and reason. OK, then. Pop quiz! Which of these ideas and beliefs, according to Columbia University, is so extreme that violence is an understandable response? a. Holocaust denial b. Publicly calling for the destruction of the state of Israel c. Supporting international terrorism and arming terrorists d. Reporting illegal border crossings to authorities Clearly, liberalism is a mental disorder.

If this vile man (the head of one of the current era’s great terror sponsoring nations) is allowed a propaganda photo op at Ground Zero, it will rank as one of the most shameful episodes in our nation’s history. A pox on whatever nincompoop (or group of nincompoops) that is working to enable this.

I have been reading that the WH should take this as a warning from thier base…from the American People, that if they thought the backlash on Immigration was bad….wait for the outrage when they allow this idiot to go to Ground Zero.

It fills me with loathing that this is going to be allowed.

He should be restricted to the UN building.

By him visiting Ground Zero he will be making this into a publicity stunt and it will be played up for him and Iran, and make the US look even weaker.

Nothing good will come of his visit to Ground Zero.

Nothing.

Restrict him to the UN and if the UN complains tell them they can move to another country then.
