This Pope is particularly focused on Europe and he can see what is happening there. It is entirely appropriate for him to speak up loud and clear and to call a spade a spade. There is no point to mincing words with Islam. Islam is about world domination and nothing less will satisfy it. All leaders, religious and secular, need to stop trying to be accommodating and recognize this monster for exactly what it is. We should hope for many, many more and stronger statements from Benedict XVI.

As we can read in:

The Gospel According to Saint Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Not sure if “gates of hell” applies to ROP.
