I didn't know much about him as Arthur Branch on Law & Order as I didn't watch that show often. So my opinions about him come from hearing him talk about why he is running for President, his federalism views, and etc. I like him very much, and he lines up pretty close to my own values and political stands, so I will most likely vote for him, as will my husband. Time will tell as the debates get under way... Regarding your critique here, I think all politicians are general in their verbage, democrats being the worst offenders at that. "Platitudes without specifics" is the Democrats middle name if you ask me. Maybe I'm listening between the lines, but no other candidate in their general verbage impresses me like Fred Thompson.
