La Socialista Clintonista

La Socialista ClintonistaFrom Hillary Clinton – v.2008, we’ve seen a lot of subtle “changes” take place in her efforts to win over more than just liberal voters. Over two years ago, the junior Senator from New York, whose name was already being thrown around in political circles as a possible contender for the Dem nomination for president, started laying the groundwork for that run by injecting into her speeches slight shifts in her positions on key conservative issues like faith-based initiatives as well as on open displays of faith, gay marriage, and abortion. We’ve also seen desperate attempts by Hillary to “cultivate relationships” with a military that despises her. She’s even changed her look a little, too.

But some things never change, especially when it comes to Democrat politicians like Mrs. Clinton. For example, for the last few years, especially, she has displayed the classic liberal tendency to not practice what she preaches on a number of fronts, like for example, how she’s courted big business while publicly railing against them, and accepted contributions from ‘evil’ hedge funds (more on that here), as well as cozied up to a big money fundraiser who was wanted by the FBI while complaining about Republican “big money men.”

Something else that hasn’t changed about Senator Clinton? The fact that she is a closet Socialist. Well, ok, to those of us who have paid attention she’s not exactly in the closet on it but the media have (shockingly!) failed to follow up on tendency to let her Socialist side slip through the mask she’s carefully crafted. Examples include but are not limited to:

—- In May, the Senator debuted her 9 point economic plan, which she called “Shared Prosperity.” ‘Nuff said on that one.

—- Back in June, Clinton told an audience at a “faith forum” hosted by CNN that “something has to be taken away from some people” for the benefit of the ‘common good,’ which echoed comments she’d made 3 years earlier in front of an audience of supporters in San Francisco:

“Many of you are well enough off that … the tax cuts may have helped you,” Sen. Clinton said. “We’re saying that for America to get back on track, we’re probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.”

—- In September, candidate Clinton unveiled her $110 billion government-run healthcare program, revisiting an issue she lost out on big time while advocating it as First Lady back in 93/94. A few weeks after that we learned from a HRC staff memo back from 1993 that Clinton’s staff were in favor of a “back up” plan of sorts involving state-run healthcare for kids, which they viewed favorably as a stepping stone of sorts to “universal healthcare.”

—- Most recently, she’s pushed for a plan that would give every baby born in America a $5,000 “baby bond.”

—- And just today she revealed her retirement savings “plan,” which involves the federal government spending “$20 billion to $25 billion a year to create 401(k)-style retirement accounts for all Americans and provide federal matching money of up to $1,000 to middle-income people.”

La Clinton is so interested in getting your vote that she’s willing to bribe you for it with promises of “shared (read: stolen) prosperity,” “free” healthcare, government-issued “baby bonds,” and government-created 401k accounts, and she’ll do it by taking away from one group of people and “giving” to another, following through with that 2004 prediction in which she said she would do so “on behalf of the common good.”

Senator Clinton would like people to believe that she has a Bible sitting on her bedside table, when in actuality it’s more likely a biography of Karl Marx.

The last several months have seen me struggling over who to support for the Republican nomination. My serious reservations about the current frontrunner, Rudy Giuliani, are no secret to readers of this blog, but in light of Hillary’s consistent leads in the polls and the likelihood of her becoming the Dem nominee, I’ve had a change of heart: If it comes down to Rudy versus Hillary, this conservative Republican won’t think twice about pulling the lever for Rudy. I will do whatever I can do to help, as a citizen of this country, in an effort to keep Hillary Clinton, advocate for Socialism, out of the White House.

“The American people are tired of liars and people who pretend to be something they’re not.” – Hillary Clinton.

You’re damn right, Hillary, and that starts with you.
