Site announcement (Weds/Thurs open thread)

FYI, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this week I will be away from the computer. Brian at Liberty Pundit, who has done a great job of guestblogging for me in the past, will take over the controls while I’m away.

Assuming it doesn’t rain on Saturday, I’ll be taking a day trip to the mountains and hope to get some good pix of the fall foliage to share with ya’ll (hope to get some pictures of Linville Falls, too). Wish me luck, as I’ll have my new digital camera with me :)

Friday may be a light blogging day for Brian – if that ends up being the case, I’ve alerted him that he can start an open thread at some point that day.

Ya’ll be good, and stay out of trouble while I’m away ;)

      Hope you have a good mini-vacation ST. We definitely want pics, you live in a beautiful part of the country. I’m taking a short road trip this weekend myself. Weather is great, time to take the wife and the new car on a little road trip, see the sights, take pics, etc.

      Fall foliage? Last weekend was the annual Fall Foliage festival in beautiful, downtown Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, and, once again, they scheduled it two weeks too early: the leaves are mostly still green!

      If they’re still mostly green in the foothills of the Poconos, how colorful can they be in Carolina?
