I’m watching game 7 of the ALCS, but ST reader steveegg is liveblogging tonight’s GOP debate (being broadcast on Fox, and held in Orlando, FL). ABC’s Political Radar reports that Jon Henke over at Fred08.com is liveblogging as well.
Fox News has a write-up on what’s been said so far, and it looks like some significant barbs are finally being thrown. Maybe the candidates will do a better job of distinguishing between each other tonight than they have at other debates.
If you can’t get to a TV, you can watch the debate here.

I like Fred and was pre-disposed to supporting him. I wanted him to do well. But Rudy ate his lunch tonight. Bigtime. Fred is unelectable. Sad but true. He would be a great VP choice for Rudy.
Ron Paul is a bigger kook than he was this morning.
Will voters warm up to a slickster like Mitt? I don’t think so.
McCain is not just a has-been he is a never-was. But his wife Cindy is definitely HOT but John is toast
I am now in favor of Rudy. Bigtime. All things considered Rudy looks like the best leader of the lot to me. Self-confidence, patriotism and a passion for leading our country in the right direction just oozes out of his pores. He is able to communicate and connect. If my christian fundy brothers can get past some of his past we will have a winner. We could do a lot worse.
If our chosen leader does not place his top priority on protecting our country nothing else really matters, does it? Rudy is my guy.
CZ, I have said in the past that I don’t believe that the Christian Right will support Rudy, but I am beginning to see a scenario where they just might. If Hillary gets the Dem Nomination, I am almost certain you will see Christians come out of the wood work to support any of the Rep candidates. That lying troll is the bane to good Christian beliefs, and would start to work against the church as only the anti-christ himself could. – Lorica
My issue wikth Rudy is that his firm firm represents interest who support the NAFTA superhighway. He is a globalist- something that absolutely repulses me.
I swing back and forth between voting for Rudy and not voting at all…I just can’t find an acecptable candidate either Dem or Republican.
