Here’s how it’s going to be: The Chicago Cubs are for sale. GE, NBC’s parent company, will purchase the team, and sign A-Rod to a long-term contract, both to play third base and to do a show on MSNBC in the nine o’clock hour.

During the baseball season, of course, his show will be taped in advance.

If agreement cannot be reached, then MSNBC could go to plan B, an hour of frolic, fashion, and fun starring the Olsen Twins.
