I usually laugh in the face of Democrats who think they can dictate to GOD the criteria for entering heaven. They are totally clueless and they are the same people who want to dictate how and where you live.

Keep in mind that Dean used to be an Episcopalian, until he got mad at his old parish over a stand they took on a bicycle path. If you have been following the Episcopal Church lately, you know that it is now a group of liturgical Unitarians where the Millennium Development Goals have replaced the Decalogue. So I find his views unsuprising.

There being no bars to heaven, I guess that I don’t have to worry about a sin or three, and I always did want to have a conversation with Josef Stalin and Adolf Hitler, to ask them a few things; how nice to know that I’ll meet them there!

However, I thought there was a real error in the quote from The Van Der GaliÃ«n Gazette:

Prayer without a purpose is just hot air, which is also very like Howard Dean. Why bother?

We all know that Dr Dean did have a purpose. Oh, it was surely a political rather than a religious one, but it was a purpose!

The difference betweeen me and Howard Dean is that neither of us are theists. I admit it. Dean denies it. Dean’s theory of religion, such as it is, holds that their is sin, no need to believe and no need to ask for forgiveness.

If Dean were an honest man, there would be no need for him to ever go to church on Sunday, because according to Dean, it does not make any difference.

I sure don’t know in what Dean believs, it not God.

Ah, let me get this straight.
Dean is “playing god” because he expresses his opinion on the existence, or nonexistence of bars to going to heavan.

And you express your opinion, and thus….
are also playing god?

So you think there is a certain kind of god. And you think this is something more than your own opinion? Are other human beings as qualified as you to form opinions on the matter?

Or are you special?
Maybe you are not just playing god….?

Whoof – I had a bad moment there, thinking Dean as saying there are no bars IN heaven. Because then it wouldn’t be heaven.

I really wish this buffoon would go away. I have long since gotten tired of the least tolerant people in politics, and he is one, proudly proclaiming their tolerance and decrying the intolerance of those evil hate filled hateful haters on the other side (which always seems to be my side). I don’t hate Howlin’ Howie, which is not to say that I don’t hold him in contempt. That contempt is not assuaged by watching this loose cannon parodying a Christian.
