The fact that she not only entertained the offer of, but actually participated in this pictorial means she was after one thing and one thing only – financial gain.

I think what she did is pathetic – and women are only objectified to the level they allow themselves to be.

I’ve always thought Playboy was one of the greatest scams ever, and Hugh Hefner one of the world’s all time great con men. Way back in high school, when my buddies and I would sneak a look at their dads’ Playboys (if my dad ever had any copies he kept them too well hidden for me to find) I used to laugh at the self consciously hip pose the magazine adopted. I especially got a chuckle at the “what kind of man reads Playboy?” ads intended to entice upscale advertisers into spending their dollars on the ultra cool crowd.

The ads made it seem as if James Bond read Playboy. Whenever I saw them, I’d snicker and think “… and high school kids like me sneaking copies out of their dads’ sock drawer!” And even then I thought it lame that a geeky noncool dork like myself could see through the BS.

I think the “Playboy Philosophy” can best be summed up as “A swinging gentleman always fakes sincerity and personal interest, and always pays for the lady’s abortions.”
