It’s the battle of 4-6 NFC South teams today at BOA stadium. Gametime is 1pm, as the both teams try to position themselves for a possible wildcard slot in the playoffs. The Cats have lost their last 4, and the Saints have lost their last 2.
Contrary to what’s been reported in this pre-game preview, Vinny won’t be starting today as David Carr has gotten the nod.
For those of you on Patriots-loss watch, they’re playing at home against the 5-5 Eagles tonight, so – barring a miracle for the Eagles – the Pats will go to 11-0.
Update: The woes continue for the Panthers as they fall to the Saints 31-6.

Good news/bad news. First the bad – I’m not getting this game in the land of cheese and beer. The good – the CBS ticker has it 3-0 Panthers.
What the heck is going on down there?
Hey, look at the bright side, at least it’s not 41-10 like it is the Giants/Vikings game!
How bout those G-men? They are playing the Vikings secondary which is ranked LAST in the league. Now, just so you know, last means that they are the absolute worst in the league. It means that no other team has a a worse secondary.
That “ranked last” secondary has intercepted Eli “First Round Draft Pick” Manning 4 times and returned 3 of them for touchdowns.
Ever since the Giants went 6-2 I’ve been waiting for the other shoe to drop, today was the day. If history is any indication this will be the beginning of the implosion for the Giants.
Sorry, just had to rant for a minute.
31-6 is worse than 41-17, especially since I didn’t see the former shellacking coming;.
We’ll see who the big dog is Thursday. It should be a good game.
I hear you. I’m going to the San Fran/Panthers game next weekend. I hope they make it worth my time and money going to see them. Especially the long haul up to my seats in the nosebleed section.
