I didn’t have a dog in the hunt, ST. I have always liked Favre, though, and I’m sorry he got hurt. I think Romo is terrific, too.

If Wade Phillips isn’t coach of the year, there’s no justice. He’s made Romo better than Parcells was able to, and he has T.O. playing football.

After I logged off last night, I just turned off my space heater (it finally got cold here!) snuggled into bed, and turned out the lights . . . and imagined the football field. (I’ve done this with baseball many times, but this is the first time I’ve done it with football in a looooong time.)

It was not all that hard to do. Especially since Westwood 1 (they’re a CBS affiliate) hired CBS’s Dick Enberg to do play by play. He had a few “oh my” moments, of course.

That’s the one good thing to out of the game; we found out Rodgers isn’t the china doll we feared after his relief appearance last season.

I watched the game on my dish. Having been raised in Green Bay and worked at Lambeau, I didn’t leave the couch to blog.

The bad news for the rest of the league is that Aaron Rodgers can play!

Watch for Farve to start at Oakland, but I now expect Rodgers to get much more playing time.

For you ‘boys fans, what do you have for a #2 QB?

Make that 27-24 Packers thanks to a gift from the Dallas coaching staff. I would’ve kicked the long field goal instead of going for it on the 4th-and-short-2 the Boys had.

The scary thing for the Bears, Vikings and Lions is that it’s Rodgers that’s leading the charge.
