Anyone else notice a serious lack of “Hate” talk from the MSM when it comes to this shooting incidents in Colorado?? – Lorica

  2. PCD says:

    Lorica,

I did. My take on it is that this shooter was just doing what the Libs and the MSM secretly want to happen. Notice there are no calls to shut down the source of this guy’s gun and ammunition.

Maybe people ought to get David Limbaugh’s book, “Persecution” I think it is called.

Good day from the snow-and-ice-encrusted land of cheese and beer. An interesting poll on illegal immigration was released today by the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute. The key stats:

    - 76% of Wisconsin residents oppose giving drivers’ licenses to illegal immigrants.
    - 86% oppose giving in-state tuition rates to illegal immigrants.
    - Equal numbers of Wisconsin residents (46%) oppose and support the idea of allowing the children of illegal immigrants attend public schools.

I’ll have thoughts on that up in a while, but in the meantime, Brian Fraley’s take is an interesting one.

Hey ST! So how about our new sherriff Mackey!!! Gotta love Meck politics… Did you see the line of the local NAACP? Paraphrasing “I know there are concerns, but as long as none of it is a felony that will put him in jail, then I say let he who is without sin…”

Facing disbarment for extortion, fired as a cop for falsifying timesheets, filed chap 7 after getting 3 degrees and running up 300k in student loans. That’s ok, those are just concerns. As long as he’s only on probation or doing community service, hey, let him be sherriff.

The looney left at its best.

Happy Advent, Sister! Mega ice storms here. How about there?

  6. Chris: The whole thing is a joke! I was listening to WBT radio this morning and just shaking my head at how even the Dems are tied up in knots over this clown. He won’t talk to the press, doesn’t want any of his records released, etc. He’s obviously a guy with a lot to hide. Top that off with Democrats on the City Council being upset and petty over Mayor McCrory’s committee and seating assignments – LOL! It’s all about the “priorities,” you know. What a circus.

    Amy: Stay warm!

Would you believe it has been in the high 70s here this week? And I’m not bragging, either … it shouldn’t be this warm two weeks before Christmas! Not only that, but we need rain, and lots of it.

  7. Lorica says:

Well Dear, it looks like you are about to get lots of rain. What froze us up here in the midwest is heading for the eastern coast, so you will have plenty of water very soon. Be careful on your drive home tonight. It is still pretty bad here but we will survive. – Lorica

With respect to the recent article with people complaining about Gore’s money grubbing and boring speeches:

There once was a gasbag named Gore
Whose speeches his audiences did bore
    They got quite irate
When they found out his rate
His money grubbing made them quite sore

I’m a poet but don’t knowit, but my feet sure are longfellows. :d

Severian Longfellow, I think I am going to name my next child that. =)) – Lorica

    Subpoenas for Al Sharpton’s aides

Teams of federal agents swooped down on up to 10 close associates of the Rev. Al Sharpton Wednesday, demanding the flamboyant clergyman’s financial records since 2001.

Sharpton’s former chief of staff said he was roused at his Harlem home about 6:30 a.m. by two FBI agents who handed him a subpoena to bring the records to a federal grand jury the day after Christmas.

    ….

The FBI and IRS are investigating whether Sharpton improperly misstated the amount of money he raised during his 2004 White House run to illegally obtain federal matching funds, a source familiar with the probe said.

Sharpton, although forced to return $100,000 in matching taxpayer funds after an investigation two years ago, denied any wrongdoing at the time.

The feds are also looking into allegations of tax fraud, including whether Sharpton commingled funds from his nonprofit National Action Network with several of his for-profit ventures, the source said.

Lawyer Michael Hardy shrugged off the probe, which sought a vast array of business, political and personal records, as a federal fishing expedition.

“I can’t think of a time when the Rev. Sharpton wasn’t under investigation,” he said.

Sharpton was not among those subpoenaed in the synchronized sweep of friends and employees.

    ….

As many as 10 people were subpoenaed, Redding said. The court papers also sought a wide range of financial records, from invoices of expenses paid by cash to cash receipts to bad debt records from the years 2001 to 2007.

Sharpton’s quixotic run for the Democratic presidential nomination has raised questions of financial impropriety – including charges that he spent campaign funds on swanky hotels.
