		<description>I agree that the chances of the House turning Republican next year are slim, but not impossible. If the GOP runs an aggressive campaign that holds Pelosi and the Democrats responsible for the mess they created this past year (and that is a huge &quot;if&quot;), they will easily make gains. Democrats are in a far weaker position that the MSM would like for you to believe.

Crunch time for the Democrats will come in 2010 when (as I expect) there is a Democrat president to go along with a Democrat Congress. Given the complete failure of the current Congress, giving Democrats control of the Executive branch will create such a severe case of buyer&#039;s remorse among voters that  today&#039;s microscopic poll numbers for Congress will look positively astronomical. You could see a huge wipeout of Democrats that would dwarf 1994.

But all this depends upon Republicans holding Democrats responsible - something they have been loath to do in recent years.</description>
