I would love to see a future governor of California(’cuz Ahhnold would never do it) now and forever ban the National Guard from EVER entering the Berkeley city limits for any disaster and/or needed assistance whatsoever. They don’t want the military in their town, then we should oblige them.

There’s always a very thin line with the left between nonviolent protest and violence. As soon as they think nonviolnece is not working, or as soon as they think they can get away with it, they’ll turn to vandalism and other “safe” manifestations of violence.

By safe I mean acts not risking an actual confrontation with a Marine. But what else but cowardice can one expect from such moral voids as today’s hard left? I suppose we ought to be grateful that these toxic specimens are too inept and self absorbed to ever pose a real challenge to democracy.

There’s an old saying that the only two significant things to come out of Berkely are Unix and LSD, and there has to be a relationship there somewhere.

They should be defunded, this goes beyond simple protesting/airing of dissent and into sedition, which is defined as interference with the military in a time of war.

I really wish we enforced the provisions of the sedition act.

Based on their letter to the Marines, Berkeley, by current law, should be defunded by the Feds. No federal money to Berkeley. I wonder how long they’ll last before changing their minds once the money stops.
