I was 245th in my ED to vote (they tally total voters; not party by party). That’s the highest number I can ever recall for a primary.

With Thompson no longer a viable option that will leave me Romney, not McCain.

People seem to think McCain is hte standard of conservatism, if so, then that is a brand of conservatism I do not want ot be a part of.

As for his temper, I understand enveryone has a temper, but McCain doesn’t seem to be able to control his to a degree, yelling and screaming at subordinates and colleagues the same – we cannot have this type of behaviour in someone who represents the US to the World.

As for is policies / and ideals, he may be firm in his belief, but what exactly are those beliefs? He has gone together and sponsored many DEMOCRAT formed bills, and while he may be strong on troops and Iraq, I do not believe he holds the way things need to be at home to heart, when his ideals seem to be more liberal on the home front than anything else.

If a ‘backroom’ deal was brokered behind closed doors between McCain and Huckabee, then that seems to be right in line with how the Liberals do thinsg, making secret deals behind closed doors. Another reason not to like these actions.

As for Huckabee, it definately seems he is in McCain’s pocket now, since all his rhetoric and attacks are against Romney and no longer against the front runner McCain….why do suppose that is?

I have heard other tout that at least with McCain you know what your getting and he is up front and sticks with his convictions – well what does backroom dealings tell us? These are hte convictions he holds dear? This is up front?

It’s one thing to argue against a McCain candidacy – but for him to suggest, after his years of telling people that Democrats leading us in the GWOT would be a disaster, to now say they wouldn’t be so bad is ludicrous. This is Rush’s way of trying to provide a cushion for himself should he decide to sit this election out.

I am no fan of Limbaugh, but I realize he does at times use the “theatre of the absurd” to make his points.

That said, Obama and McCain there are stark differences between in the GWoT, but I don’t see much of a difference between sHillary and Juan McLame at all.

But that is a secondary issue for me. Survival of America from her greatest threat, the politician, is the #1 issue at hand.

Huck and McCain simply don’t like Romney personally.

Besides, Huck wants that win also. Maybe in his mind, if he can knock Romney out, he can go Head to Head with McCain down the stretch.

- Will that victory be worth the solidification of the liberals’ hold on power for the remainder of my lifetime?

Given his stances on Gitmo, the detention of illegal combatants, and enhanced interrogation, I cannot be convinced that he will win the larger war. Therefore, that solidification of the liberals’ hold on power is not worth it, IMHO.

El Rushbo isn’t saying that. He’s saying McCain will be as bad as the Democrats. Don’t forget, McCain wants to extend the Bill of Rights to foreign jihadists and shut down Club G’itmo and give those jihadists access to American courts. There’s no difference between him and Hillary or Obama on those issues. He just views the war on terror as a criminal/law enforcement matter, like the Clintons did and the Left does.

And Tango is right. It’s classic rope-a-dope, with gullible GOP voters playing the role of dope. Allowing the Democrats and the Drive By Media to select their candidate is political suicide.
