Since the era of “free trade” has been ushered in by Democrats and Republicans alike (McCain among those), this nation can not afford a second arms race since we barely own our own nation as it is. In a second arms race, with Russin’s oil resopurces we will lose. The Gipper has to be shaling his head in disbelief.

Yes. Religious fanaticism. Our only hope here is that Israel can fend off for 4 more years (this will more than likely be the case) in the hopes that we get someone who can take a stance that will solve this issue.

This is what I don’t get about the “elect Juam McCain becasue of the GWoT” stance. His supposed stance (which I do not believe at all) on the GWoT diametrically opposes his open border stance so that cuts no chhese for me.

John McCain, who favors government expansion, will only make this issue worse. This is a Neo-Con’s weakness, and it was resolutely displayed by President Bush over the last few years.

Body is dead already if we don’t. Among all the things you listed, the American Politician is the single greatest threat to America. Without correcting that problem, none of the others will ever be corrected.

I live in Ohio, and I can attest many, many people feel the same way that I do although for different reasons. The Republican party has really screwed the pooch here and in all liklihood Ohio will go to the Democrats because Strictland has been very careful about what he has been doing so as not to upset the apple cart, probably until the general election rolls around.

I am hoping with the high taxation that Hillary will bring about will hurt American’s pocket book enough to wake them from their slumber and perhaps serch for a person of integrity, a patriot that is sincere about what they say. I really don’t see it happening though, as they would have to go through the ranks of one of the two establishment parties in any hope to get elected.

I will do what is good for the country and for those that talk about sitting out voting, your right to vote, fought and died for by American Soldiers, just think about that for a few minutes before you make such statements.

I was not a soldier. However, my father who was a decorated soldier in the Korean War (3 Purple Heart and the Silver Star) instilled into me a great debt of gratitutde to the American Soldier. My son is a soldier (Navy) and my nephew (who I helped raise as a son) is in Iraq right now in the Army Corp of Engineers.

That said, that is EXACTLY I am thinking about. I will not squander my vote on these peole you ask me to elect. You are asking me not to support my country, but you are asking me to support a political party who only have interest in maintaining political power in mind and NOT representing the citizens of America.

We revolted once, yelling “taxation without representation” at one point. I contend that our elected officials no longer represent us. Will we revolt in some way again?

Which is exactly why I will vote for Hillary. In the long run it in all likelihood be what is best for this country. Electing John McCain is far worse, as all he would do is maintain the stautus quo of the socialist agenda maintained by both parties that the American citizen is so complacent about fighting against.

I was listening to Laura Ingraham this morning and she did have a point, if we are truly Conservatives, then we want what is best for the country.

Is putting Obama or Hillary into the Presidency with thier socialist ideals what is best for this country?

I agree, I don’t like McCain, but at this time thier is only McCain or Huckabee and i don’t think Huckabee can win, which will leave McCain.

Now while there is alot of thing I do not agree with and down right dislike McCain for, he is spot on with the GWOT and Iraq. With Iran building a 2nd Nuclear plant the next president is going to have to make some hard decisions about Iran also.

We also have to look at the Supreme Court, there will most likely be at least 1 or 2 retiring, perhaps more and you KNOW what type of judges Hillary or Obama will appoint.

Indeed, if Obama wins the Dem nomination then I will too. If Hillary wins, she gets my vote.

A rare time I find myself in disagreement with Lorica. The situation in Iraq is improving, and we are indeed winning. However, a lot work remains for the next Administration to do. Hilly the Hun and the Empty Suit, like Hilly’s husband, have demonstrated clearly they do not understand the stakes in the Middle East. How can they, when their egos are inversely proportional to their competence and intelligence? In the end I think that they will gladly toss the Iraqi people under the bus for the mere prospect of a momentary bump in the polls, which is all any “progressive” really cares about anymore.

The US betrayal of Vietnam is the model here. Democrats are very adept at losing wars. The irony for Democrats is that the disaster that is certain to follow will cling to them far more tightly than it will to Republicans, frantic MSM spin notwithstanding. If Democrats still live in the shadow of their debacle in Vietnam, which was a mixture of incompetence and partisan hate, what will this do to them?

It is also my firm belief that we need to vote this year. Not for McCain, but for the House and Senate seats, the state seats and the judges and our governors.

We need to make it through the next four years unscathed and we cannot accomplish if the Democrats retain hold of Congress and our states.

Senator Clinton and Senator Obama want to increase the size of the federal government.

I intend to reduce it. I will not sign a bill with earmarks in it, any earmarks in it. I will fight for the line item veto, and I will not permit any expansion whatsoever of the entitlement programs that are bankrupting us. On the contrary, I intend to reform those programs so that government is no longer in that habit of making promises to Americans it does not have the means to keep.

Senator Clinton and Senator Obama will raise your taxes.

I intend to cut them. I will start by making the Bush tax cuts permanent. I will cut corporate tax rates from 35 to 25%

If he talks like this in debates with Hillary and Obama. It’s on!!!!
