    Duputy Sheriff Shaq?

Sheriff Joe hopes to activate Shaq on his team since Shaq’s trade to Phoenix. Arpaio deputized Shaq two years ago.

Looks like Romney is hanging it up…..

12:31pm Eastern. Connectivity here is spotty. I confirmed with folks here 10 minutes ago that Romney is going to announce he’s suspending his campaign. Stand by…

Jeff Quinton reports that Romney may appear with John McCain tonight in Baltimore.

Romney officially backs out of race.

Reasoning is War on Terror, and a stronger candidate which leads me to believe he will be supporting and endorsing McCain.

Frankly in this time of a war, I cannot let my campaign be a part of aiding a surrender to terror.

This isn’t an easy decision. I hate to lose

Not just about me…I entered this race because I love America. I feel I have to now stand aside.

We cannot allow the next president of the United States to retreat in the face of evil extremism.

I need some pepto…and probably a few shots of whiskey.

  4. Great White Rat says:

Yep, it’s official. Romney’s out. This is the report I’m seeing on Comcast.

“I must now stand aside, for our party and our country,” Romney told conservatives.

“If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win. And in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign, be a part of aiding a surrender to terror,” Romney told the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington.

There can’t be a whole lot of really happy people at CPAC today. :(

  5. Just posted a quick one here about this.

  6. Lorica says:

After Hiltlery ascends to the presidency and John McCain descends into oblivion, and the American People has 4 years of anger and hate from the White House during the worse times in America since the Depression and WWII. Romney will come back and win in a huge landslide. Hopefully. :d – Lorica

  7. benning says:

Yeah, it’s all over for Romney. I posted, but you guys still beat me to it! Sheesh!

I will have to vote for McCain, but unless he chooses Fred for his Veep, I won’t enjoy it.

  8. sanity says:

As I said before, we got rid of the good ones, and look at what we are left with….

Even with McCain’s record, he came out ahead, even with the majority of Conservatives loathing him for what he tried to do with immigration (amnesty), Gang of 14, McCain – Fiengold (shut down your free speech), ect….even afetr all that still fresh in Conservatives minds, we still neded up with McCain?!?!

I still do not see who this is possible.

We wanted conservative principles, we got it in Fred Thompson – but instead of looking and judging him on his stands, principles and his dedication to those principles…people judged him on how he made them feel, so, the one with the best appeal in what we want got sacced.

So we go with the next best with Romney…and we see how that has ended.

And our best…OUR BEST?!?!? is McCain?

I will forgo the pepto and start on the whiskey now….

    Lorica: why not J.C.Watts?

  10. Lorica says:

I love J.C. Watts. Hell I thought about moving to Oklahoma just because of him, and a pretty good job. I think Watts would make a great Veep and a great President.

Sanity, I have a couple of bottles of Wild Turkey if you want to come on over. I also make a pretty good BBQ sauce out of it if you want me to start grilling a pork roast. We can start to plan what we are going to do when hell freezes over and John McCain beats Hillary.

Here’s my thing. Does Anyone here believe that John McCain can stand the absolutely horrible things that the MSM did to our last presidential candidate??? The lies, the deception, the manufactured stories, EVERYTHING that went wrong in the world was GW’s fault in 2003. How do you think McCain is going to react to that?? Do we believe that the MSM isn’t going to treat McCain with any less contempt?? Hell this election is lost before it has even begun. Now the only thing left to find out is who will be the Democratic President. – Lorica

Well, in my district in CT I was one of 146 Romney to 327 McCain, so I can’t say I’m suprised!

  13. sanity says:

Have a half bottle of Wild Turkey and a full bottle of Bacardi gold in the pantry Lorica…heh

Now that Bush is soon to be out of office it’s all Global Warmings fault now.

  14. Lorica says:

Well I gotcha beat there Sanity. I have about 7 bottles of different single malt scotchs and several different types of rum and tequila, not including assorted whiskies and vodkas, and 3/4ths of a Michelob Holiday pack in the fridge, that I bought for Christmas. I like having the stuff around for occasions just like today, but I rarely use. I guess my way of saying I didn’t inhale. =)) – Lorica

Ex-Republican Chafee considers voting for Obama in R.I. primary
Driven by his strong opposition to the war in Iraq, former Republican U.S. Sen. Lincoln Chafee may do something radical, at least for him: cast a vote in a Democratic primary.

OMG I am turning blue I am laughing so hard!!! As if anyone didn’t see this one coming. Only in the American MSM is this actually worth the waste of ink, so to speak. – Lorica

McCain Drops ‘Our Country’ From Playlist After Mellencamp Hears Sour Note

When the liberal rocker found out his songs were being played at events for Republican John McCain’s presidential campaign, Mellencamp’s publicist sent a letter that questioned the campaign’s playlist.

Ah yes. Aren’t the liberals the ones who are accusing GW of “dividing” the country? Interesting that Mellencamp cries like a child because he doesn’t agree with McCain politically.

Climate Change: Not every scientist is part of Al Gore’s mythical “consensus.” Scientists worried about a new ice age seek funding to better observe something bigger than your SUV — the sun.

Damn interesting article, and this from someone who just doesn’t really care. =)) I am still trying to get my mind around the idea of banning incandescent bulbs for mercury florescent bulbs. Let’s save pennies in power usage, but fill our land fills up with mercury.

Shuster Suspended For “Pimped Out” Comment

NBC NEWS STATEMENT REGARDING CHELSEA CLINTON COMMENT:

On Thursday’s “Tucker” on MSNBC, David Shuster, who was serving as guest-host of the program, made a comment about Chelsea Clinton and the Clinton campaign that was irresponsible and inappropriate. Shuster, who apologized this morning on MSNBC and will again this evening, has been suspended from appearing on all NBC News broadcasts, other than to make his apology. He has also extended an apology to the Clinton family. NBC News takes these matters seriously, and offers our sincere regrets to the Clintons for the remarks.

Eating thier own or just CYA?

I say CYA cause Clinton threatened not to appear or do any debates on their network.
