I’ll be interested to see what Thomas has to say tomorrow regarding what business the Dem led Congress got done today. As for Wed, the dems spent lots of time on lots of “congratulations” type BS, which, yes, includes a congratulation the NCCop’s and my Giants.

Apparently the Dems had agreed to keep the House out of session during the Lantos service. The Republicans had warned that if the House was in session they would use procedural motions to block consideration of the contempt resolution. The Dems reneged, rang the House back into session, and the Reps moved to adjourn, disrupting the ceremony. Presumably if they had not so moved, the contempt resolution could have been introduced. Bottom line, Dems tried to pull a fast one and it ended up disrupting the ceremony. Unfortunate. Best coverage I've seen of this tawdry incident to date is Politico, which includes Boehner's statement LINK

I’m sure the MSM will make this all about the mean-spirited Republicans “disrespecting” the late, great Tom Lantos, and ignore the Democrat provocations.

Me, I don’t really care. You do what needs to be done. If the Lefties don’t like it they will whine to the MSM and we’ll be hearing about it for all time.
