Rahmbo:
"Rahm Emanuel is son of the devil's spawn. He is an individual who would sell his mother to get a vote. He would strap his children to the front end of a steam locomotive."
-Rep. Eric Massa (D-NY) on Obama's COS, 3/7/10
Been a lot of talk lately of how this ‘fued’ between Obama and Hillary will tear apart the Democrat party.
I would like ot hear more information on this, including your thoughts.
I have heard that supporters from both will not support the other if one loses. Ie. If Hillary wins, BO supporters will not suport Hillary, and vice versa. Some have gona as far as saying they would vote for McCain if thier candidate loses.
I also have heard (believe it was on Laura Ingraham show with Geraldine Ferraro this morning) that not all of the Obama supporters are hard core like most believe, that if he loses, they are mainly there cause he is essentially the black candiate of choice, and not because of his ideals or his convictions (which so far doesn’t have much substance).
The Wright controversy (Wright-gate) if Obama and Sniper controversy (Sniper-gate) with Hillary can be seen as doing alot of damage on both sides, and further deviding and straining the ‘unity’ of the Democrats.
Paired with the Super Delegate issues that seems to be the deciding factor on who will win, will further damage and divide the Democrats.
McCain has done the right thing, moving out of the way and letting them tear at each other.
I think much of Obama’s support is an inch deep. The ecstatic swooning partisans are caught up in the movement, and don’t really care about specifics. If Obama is not the candidate, they’ll stay away.
Heck, if he is the candidate they might stay away. After all, voting is so prosaic, so bourgeois. It’s what boring middle class squares do. Obama the Phenomenon is too transcendental to sully with sordid politics.
Yeah, I’m cynical, especially about cults. Not all of Obama’s support is among the cultists, but they’re the ones swelling the ranks and making him look stronger than he is. Reverend Wright is just the tip of the iceberg – once the real show starts and he has to outline actual positions and policies the mask is going to slip and we’ll all see a doctrinaire leftist. Actual voters will go for the other guy.
And while I have misgivings about McCain, anyone who thinks there’s no daylight between he and either of the two Dems is just not paying attention. I think we’re heading for a blowout, and it’s going to go against the Donks.
Even at this late date, it’s still good news. I figure I’ve gotta be a very hot property now. I expect to look out my window and see the likes of Megyn Kelly and Julie Banderas and Sister Toldjah fighting to get first shot at me.

I’m surprised Obama is still in the running.
