As I noted yesterday (shameless blog plug alert!), Hamas has used kidnapping as a tactic previously. While it would seem, to Western logic, extraordinarily stupid of Hamas to kidnap former President Carter, they've done many things that, to us, seem totally insane, but which make perfect sense to them. Just what would we do if Hamas held a former President of the United States hostage?

For anyone out there who still thinks there’s a shred of decency left in Carter in terms of how he conducts himself on the world stage in his role as a former president, this post should dissuade you of that notion.

That would assume that he actually had any decency to begin with.

Carter is so deluded and warped, it’s not funny anymore. He’s becoming dangerous. Hamas will use him as a propaganda victory. Carter should be arrested for treason upon his return. How shocking that Carter, the very definition of liberal, would cozy up to some of the worst terrorists in the Middle East.
