Here’s the basic mistake Democrats make. Obama can explain away his motormouthing remarks all he wants, and I’ll even believe him up to a point. At least, unlike his opponent, he doesn’t pretend to have gone duck hunting (or have I missed something?). But yo yo yo check it out. ST quotes him as having said:

people feel abandoned, after 20 or 25 years of plants closing, jobs not coming back

Well, just keeping it real here, but Dawg, those jobs ain’t ever coming back. America is never going to be an industrial company again. (Well, okay, never say never, so, let’s just say, “not for a long, long time.)

People feel like Washington's not listening to them, and as a consequence, they find that they can only rely on ~~traditions~~ more of the same hogwash and greedy lying power grabbers and the things that have been important to them for generation after generation. ~~Faith. Note that Barack Obama will never refer to the 2nd amendment in any way that affirms the right of citizens to PROTECT themselves; we don’t need daddy government to okay something that is ours to begin with, and we might not have any interest in “sporting” or “hunting” uses of tools that are ours to keep and bear.
