You'll never hear poeple like lorica talking about these things. You know, hard facts, as opposed to the anecdotal nonsense (which was probably made up to begin with).
All things considered Barak's chosen religious expression is a matter of concern. Between where he went to school in his early informative years to who he sought out as a college student to Rev. Wright. I don't fault white folk for their concern about just who Barak is exactly. Barak the man has been nothing but a political opportunist from what I see. Now if the MSM would have been honest from the onset, he most likely would not be in the place he is in. - Lorica

ST points out:

Oh, but you see, these black Democrats are voting for Barack Obama, in part, because they feel he's the candidate they can most relate to, for obvious reasons. Yet, when working class white Dems vote for Clinton over Obama, well, there's another agenda at play …

Well, what the mediots apparently do not understand is that primary elections produce precisely these kinds of results. Naturally, when choosing a candidate, a voter will want to vote for somebody they feel most comfortable with. It isn't until general election time that the voters start (or anyway should start) thinking of which candidate is closest to their views.

Since Madame Candy Jacket and The Illinois Kid agree on nearly everything (the gas tax apparently the big exception), why wouldn't a voter choose the person who they'd want to invite to dinner?

I have no problem with African Americans voting en bloc for Obama, and no problem with grannies in cotton hoodies, denim skirts, and camo pattern trainers on their feet (or maybe checkboard)voting for one of their own.

It ain't racism or sexism, folks--it's just normal human behavior.

And a big Ole to El Raton Blanco.

" Obama won 91 percent of the black vote in North Carolina, but Clinton took 59 percent of the white vote.

91% of the vote? That statistic approaches the kind of result you see in elections held in totalitarian states where there is only one candidate-- and you'd better vote for him, or else.

So, let's have a frank, open and honest discussion about those statistics, and what they suggest about residual racism in this country, shall we? Who's behaving in a stereotypically racist manner here, and for which block of voters is the color of one's skin the most important consideration?"----drsanity.blogspot

Fight fire with fire. Any republican that bends over and says sorry everytime the demagogues squeal will never get my vote.:d

So if you're white, you voted for Hillary, and race was a factor, the mediots make ugly noises about racism influencing (or outright dictating) your vote.

But if you're black, you voted for Obama, and race was a factor - that's not racism. If you can find a link to an MSM story that considers that angle, I'd love to see it.

The media won't say it, but the fact is they assume black people are going to vote for Obama soley because of race. It's not like Obama and Clinton have widely different platforms - this is the Democrat primary. You're more likely to have a yeti living next door to you than have a centrist-to-conservative Democrat presidential candidate.

So why are the mediots so sure Hillary's going to win the WV primary? Simple - only 3.3% black population - not enough to overcome the number of whites who just won't vote for a black candidate. Flip that logic around in the case of NC, SC, or MS...were there so many blacks in those states who were voting for Obama solely because of race that Clinton couldn't overcome it?

This is a mild preview of what awaits McCain if Obama wins the nomination. If you think white Dems who voted for Hillary are getting slammed as racists now, wait till you hear how the MSM will paint anyone who doesn't answer their surveys the right way this fall. I can see the NYT headlines now:

Obama leads in poll by 60-40/Racism still burns in 40% of Americans

"I'll be honest with you. Barack scares the hell out of me"he said. "He swore on the Koran."

Obama did manage to pull in many white voters, but still encountered similar sentiments from a man who refused to shake his hand at a diner in Greenwood, Ind.

"I can't stand him" the man said. "He's a Muslim. He's not even pro-American as far as I'm concerned."
These are not racist comments. These are justifiable fears about the man's chosen religious expression. - Lorica

Gonna be ugly.>:)Having to listen for months on end if white people are too racist to vote for a black.:-@ I hope repubs can simply grow a spine and run their own commercials with rev wright and voiceovers saying that "we're being told if we have a problem with this, we're racists". >:/ Unfortunately, repubs in control will be too darn scared!:-ss I hope there'll be a 527 that has some gonads!;)

Turn those numbers another way on the NC election and you in that obama received 40% of the white vote but Hillary only received 8% of the black vote.

That's shows a 400% discrimination spread if you wish to talk racism based upon skin color alone.

There is a bigger issue -and that is the fear that Obama is in fact an anti-american marxist leaning commodity and even white Democrats don't as easily all fall into the Messianic admiration society for radicals.

My belief is that the majority of those WCWDV (working class white Dem voters) didn't vote against Obama because he was black, but instead because he was a guy who painted himself as a "healer" of racial divisions, yet sat in the pews of TUCC for 20 years silently while Rev. Wright went on and on doing things like praising the Jew-hating Louis F., ranting about our "white supremacist nation" and about how "AIDS was invented by the government to target black people" and other hateful nonsense. I don't think this double-speak passed the smell test with most of those voters, and as a result, it influenced them to vote for his opponent.

Ya think?

My belief is that the majority of those WCWDV (working class white Dem voters) didn’t vote against Obama because he was black, but instead because he was a guy who painted himself as a “healer” of racial divisions, yet sat in the pews of TUCC for 20 years silently while Rev. Wright went on and on doing things like praising the Jew-hating Louis F., ranting about our “white supremacist nation” and about how “AIDS was invented by the government to target black people” and other hateful nonsense. I don’t think this double-speak passed the smell test with most of those voters, and as a result, it influenced them to vote for his opponent.

Ya think?

I don't doubt that there are white racists who won't vote for a black candidate solely because of race. But I also don't doubt that there are black racists who vote for Obama because of his skin color. The MSM has a vested political interest in exaggerating the former while covering up the latter.

Keep in mind the slimy article in the NY Daily News is only a small part of the dress rehearsal for the fall campaign. If the MSM is willing to so thoroughly turn on Hilly the Hun - after lying on her behalf for the better part of two decades - you can bet that it will be vastly worse for Republicans. I've said it before, but this election will be uglier and filthier than anything we have seen in our lifetimes, and the MSM will lead the mudslide. Someone (not me) once said that America has two major political parties: the GOP and the MSM. The Democrat Party is merely the quasi-legal political action committee of the MSM.
