The MSM assured us that Grand Wizard Ron Paul was on the fast track to the GOP nomination. In a two-way race with McCain he rarely gets above 5%. Even the Huckster outpolls Paul - and he dropped out long ago. Now the MSM is making similar wild claims about Barr. Don't believe a word of it. Paul ran as a Libertarian in 1988, and it was predicted at the time that he would cost the first Bush the Presidency. It was the typical load of MSM hooey as Paul got skunked almost as bad as he did in this year's GOP primary. I think that all of this - including the Newsweek smear - indicate that the the MSM is not confident about the chances of He Whose Middle Name Must Not Be Mentioned.

And just who knows Bob Barr? Nobody. Alex Knapp is just trying to stir things up and take some shots at McCain. Nothing more.

Bob Barr has no more chance than Lyndon Larouche had. He must be fairly gullible if he could be convinced that he’s a viable candidate. Sheesh!
