I think this is certainly a case that ought to be heard by a jury. Let them decide the case, and then fight it out on appeals if they convict.

I wouldn’t want to be the judge hearing the case, though–if she is found guilty, what would an appropriate sentence be? Does putting the woman in jail serve any purpose?

Teen suicide is always tragic, regardless of the circumstances…
