Hopefully there will be enough sun in the next week to bring mine back out . I hate fishing in the rain (which it’s supposed to be doing Sunday and Monday on Eagle Lake in Ontario, with a chance of snow Monday).

This is good, and just in time for Memorial Day. The Washington Times and footnote.com have collaborated on a tool that allows you to search for names on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (commonly known as “The Wall”).

Here’s how the Times describes the project:

A digital image of the wall — actually thousands of photos fused together — locates each veteran’s name where it appears on the memorial. From there, any visitor to The Times site can leave their stories and remembrances or upload photos of veterans.

Great idea. Thanks to the Times and footnote.com for thinking of it, and for their timing.
