Hillary receives the all-important Ricky Martin endorsement

La Clintonista is up by double digits (51-38) in Puerto Rico, home to one of the last three Dem primaries next week (PR’s is on Sunday, while Montana’s and SD’s are on Tuesday). But will Latino pop superstar Ricky Martin’s endorsement make a Hillary victory in Puerto Rico a West Virginia-style blowout?

MADISON, S.D. — Puerto Rican pop star Ricky Martin endorsed Hillary Clinton this afternoon, just days before the U.S. territory prepares to vote. Martin, who became famous in the mid-90s for his song “Livin’ La Vida Loca” said in a written statement released by the campaign that Clinton “has always been consistent in her commitment with the needs of the Latino community.”

“I am honored to have Ricky Martin’s support” Clinton said in a written statement. “He is a very important voice in the Latino community and together we will work to improve the lives of families and children across the country.”
