Why don’t they just smoke the tree sitters out?

Make enough holes with water for stagnant water and release mosquitos near the trees.

Splash some honey on the tree, and wait for the bugs to come.

remember back in the 80’s they had a machine that was suppose to shake hte fat off you, you stand on it, wrap a band around yo, and it shakes and shakes…get one ofthose and hook it to the tree and shake the nuts off…..
