I don’t get the Times at all. It’s their opinion page, and they can of course do whatever they want there. But in order to avoid all the controversy and all the publicity, they should simply have run what McCain gave them.

Well, GWR, I’m willing to accept that the MSM gave Kerry 15 points. That would make Bush’s margin more like 18%.

I only hope they are as effective this time around. The latest idiotic stunt by the NYT ought to be worth something.

"Let's talk a little media bias here. The media, I think, wants Kerry to win. . . . They're going to portray Kerry and Edwards as being young and dynamic and optimistic and there's going to be this glow about them . . . that's going to be worth maybe 15 points."

That said, your analysis is spot on. Only in the minds of the MSM elites is their support worth 15 points. Especially as the bias becomes more and more transparent with each passing election.

The media gave Kerry a 15-point advantage in 2004? Where does this stuff come from??!!

Are the media rooting for Obama? Well let me put it this way–can anyone here remember three anchors chasing an official nominee, let alone a presumptive nominee, around the world?

But giving a candidate a 15-point advantage? C’mon. They’d love to be able to do that, I suppose, but let’s keep it real, friends!

Of course the media is trying to put this one in the bag for Obama. They did it in ‘04 and gave Kerry a 15 point advantage. Bush should have beaten Kerry by 20-30 points. The reason Bush’s ratings are as low as they are are because of a couple things: the left spreading as many idiotic lies as they can spew; the media parroting these lies; and Bush not responding to the lies in the way he should have.
