Obama campaign banners at the Western wall

Have ya’ll ever seen anything like this [1] before?

Whether or not they were “official” or not (and knowing the Obama campaign [2], they probably were official), someone from the campaign should have removed the dang things.  The Western wall is not a place for a political campaign advertisement, for crying outloud, let alone the display of the idol-like image of the candidate’s face!

Sheesh!

Short story here [3].

Update: Here’s what Drudge has up [4] about Obama’s visit to the Western wall:

OBAMA VISITS WESTERN WALL IN OLD CITY JERUSALEM… ARRIVES AT 5:08 AM LOCAL TIME [10:08 PM ET]… SUNRISE… SHOUTING MAN: ‘JERUSALEM IS NOT FOR SALE, OBAMA’… MOB SCENE… CHAOS… BOWING HIS HEAD IN PRAYER… PLACES NOTE IN WALL… POSES FOR PHOTOS… LOTS OF SHOUTING… LEAVES 5:20 AM… DEVELOPING…

I’m serious – watching all this imagery, seeing him act like he’s already a head of state? It’s just not right.

Thur AM Update: Here’s video [5] of Obama visiting the wall.  What a complete spectacle.
