I know my country has not perfected itself. At times, we’ve struggled to keep the promise of liberty and equality for all of our people. We’ve made our share of mistakes, and there are times when our actions around the world have not lived up to our best intentions.

To hear Obama, you’d think we are just now catching up to the world in the freedom and liberty business. Is he serious? The fact is we invented the freedom, liberty and equality that is still changing the world. Before America there was no land of hope. Modern freedom is all our doing. Well said, OldTexan. I was thinking the same thing. Edwards called the war on terror a “bumper sticker”. How many bumper stickers can you spot in Obamas speech?? The entire thing is one long bumper sticker. Good grief!

Not only that, but I saw where the city of Chicago was contemplating asking the National Guard to come in and help the police with the crime problem. Way to go, Barack!!!

Wow, what a mixed up soup of cliches poured out on top of socialist dumplings served in a beautiful dish of meaningless promises.

What a shallow little-minded man with a polished crew of speech writers/handlers. Especially when Mr. Sen. Obama seems to take credit and wrap himself up in all the hard won deeds of our countries past, as if those we his ideas, even if he wasn’ born yet.

It appears he got no “bump” among Americans.

Will the Germans be voting in the fall? Will Americans tend to vote how the Europeans want?
