Dana’s point about Richardson is well taken, but I can’t see the Dalai Bama choosing a veep candidate who might re-emphasize his own miserable pittance of accomplishment and experience. That’s where MD’s nomination of Sibelius is intriguing. The problem there is that the PUMA Hillary contigent will not be pleased if some token female is on the ticket that She Herself should have headed.

But what do I know…way back when, my first choice for the GOP nomination was Duncan Hunter, and look where he is now.

Which is why if the McCain campaign goes into one of its periodic Stuck-On-Stupid modes, Graham would be the “logical” choice.

And why are people coming down so hard on Paris Hilton? It’s true that Miss Hilton is an over-exposed celebrity, but that is also true for the Messiah and I don’t hear calls for Him to quit the race.

It’s also true that she does not have the distinguished record of service to the US that McCain has, but there is a videotape of her, ahem (cough), servicing her boyfriend. Thanks to the pants-down Presidency of William Jefferson Clinton, such service is practically a Constitutional requirement when running for President.

Speaking of the Constitution: the only problem I can see in a Hilton candidacy is that she is not of Constitutional age (35) yet. But in the era of the Living Constitution we can thankfully dispense with nonsense like the rule of law.

No matter who he picks, there are going to be some huge sour grapes, and I am certain it is going to drop him further in the polls. He is not going to be able to pick the right person, and make everyone happy. I also believe that since BO is such a follower he is going to pick someone who is alot like him, and that is going to cause some major issues. – Lorica

For the GOP: Senator Lindsey Graham. McCain makes either absolutely brilliant or absolutely moronic moves in his campaign (nothing in between), and since he has been on a hot streak lately it would seem time for the Bipartisan Bug to bite him and in the resulting delirium cause him to pick another Democrat-lite as VP. But I could be wrong and he could pick Anybody-But-Graham, and then it would be a brilliant pick by comparison.

It is becoming more apparent every day that obama could conceivably lose, so the dems and the entire media will go into “repubs are racist” meme very, very soon.

If anyone from the maccain campaign goes into “apology” mode after the bs attacks come, he should be tarred and feathered.

Sad thing (for the Democrats) is that those two are the best they’ve got and they know much more than Obama, but they’re both idiots.
