Word is that our half of town took a lot of water, and to expect severe damage. =(( And for the record, my wife, the dog and I evacuated Thursday, when it became a mandatory evacuation. We are now told there is no water, power, or sewer in town, and that folks coming back early will be arrested if they try to get to their homes. And they sit on their asses and refuse to budge. :-? Then the taxpayers are expected to spend more money, and risk lives, in rescue operations to save these same individuals who refused to leave. Why? :-w After Gustav, New Orleans residents who were returning were interviewed, and many said they'd never leave again. And we'll be expected to spend money to rescue them, too. Why? :o Dammit!
