Houston blogger Jason Smith and family thankfully survived the onslaught from Hurricane Ike, but as you’ve probably read by now, things are a mess in that part of Texas and it looks like there’s no end in sight. He’s uploaded some photos of what he saw before and after Hurricane Ike hit the eastern Texas shoreline.
I know there’s a lot going on right now and that the situation in Houston has kind of taken a backburner as far as news reports go, but please continue to keep them all in your thoughts and prayers, and click here (scroll) for ways you can help.

Thanks for sending the e-mail with the pictures that Jason took. WOW! That’s incredible! I have friends in Houston who are also without power after all this time. I wish they’d get that fixed!
