Well, HuffPo wondered aloud [1] last night whether or not she’d be wired, and their mirror images at Reuters actually asked [2] the Debate Commission to check the ear canals of each candidate, so it was only a matter of time before more far left geniuses followed up today by exclaiming that Gov. Palin was working off a “cheat sheet” of sorts at last night’s debate [3]. Taking his cue from the McPalin-hating NYT [4], “Faiz” at Think Progress gurgles [5]:
For Sarah Palin, last night’s debate was an open-book exam. She spent much of the evening methodically reading and rehearsing answers from “carefully scripted talking points [4].” Palin’s notes were largely hidden from plain view, resting behind the lectern where she stood.
Because the cable and network television stations did not show a split screen of the debate, most viewers could not see that, during Joe Biden’s answers, Palin spent almost all her time looking down and studiously reading her notes. But viewers did see that when Palin delivered her answers, she would repeatedly glance down to check her talking points.

Marc Ambinder [6] nips this stupid little rumor in the bud:
Debate rules prohibited candidates from bringing any pre-prepared material with them.
Only blank paper and writing utensils were provided.
So to the extent that Palin seemed to be reading, it was because she had, during the course of the debate or during Joe Biden’s answers, written down some notes. Clearly, she had memorized talking points and wrote them down when she got to the podium. But that’s not what’s being alleged.
Biden did the same thing — you can see him jotting down some notes and then referring to them before speaking.
No conspiracy here.
BTW: the debate organizers placed the paper on the lecturns, not the campaigns.
Unless Steve Schmidt and Mark Wallace schooled Palin in some David Blaine-esque slight-of-hand tricks, she couldn’t have hidden notes on her body either.
Think this will stop the moonbats on the far left from howling with “outrage” over this “issue”? Don’t bet on it. See, Gov. Palin is not only a smart, successful, Christian woman, but she’s a Republican woman, and one who doesn’t paint herself as a victim every five minutes in between begging for your sympathy. Because of this, they have to characterize her as a pudunk Bible-thumping hick who has made it through life based solely on her good looks.
These types of Democrats are ok with women being liberated, as long as they’re not so liberated that they don’t feel like they have to hang their hats on the Democratic party platform. And for that, Gov. Palin must be torn down [7], her accomplishments and responsibilities must be denigrated [8], and her looks must be demeaned and used for sick purposes [9].
I wish I could say I was surprised but, sadly, this is all too common in the world of the far left today. I shudder to think just how much lower they will sink in their attempts to try and destroy her.
