The final question is a microcosm of where McCain has let Obama off the hook easily in these debates. Speaking first, Obama babbled on about how we need to increase our emphasis and expertise in math and science.

This situation is tailor-made for McCain to hit back hard. This is where he needs to point out how Obama wasted $150 million in Chicago without improving edication one bit. This is where he needs to point out that Obama rejected funding for programs in math and science in favor of funding left-wing political groups endorsed by (who else) Bill Ayers. This is where he needs to show that in Obama’s only shot as an executive, he was a total failure.

But no…..he’s defending NCLB, and getting deeper into minutiae of policies. The comments about vouchers were good, but he needed to hit Obama’s weaknesses, and this was a big one.

Did Obama just say that the law he didn’t support did not have an exception for the health of the mother??? How is a law about abortion survivors has a concern about mother’s health?? This man is so deceptive. – Lorica

It’s been 10 minutes since the debate started. Have the NYT and CNN released their polls saying that Obama won the debate yet????
