Now He is the next FDR, which is (depending upon your point of view) either above or below the next JFK, but probably not as hip as the Messiah.

From lowering the oceans to lowering expectations. From new politics to old politics. From post-racial America to racists lurking under every bed. From each according to his ability. To each according to his need.

Of course, the GOP is so namby-pamby, guilt ridden and used to letting liberals define the terms of issues and arguments that I have no doubt conservative congressional leaders will be on the evening news every night apologizing for their alleged sins.

Get ready for years of the MSM making the “opposition to Obama = racism and assassination” argument. Dictatorships rely heavily on paranoia, and the coming Messiah thugocracy will be no exception. Anyone who hasn’t already done so should read The Forgotten Man, by Amity Shlaes. She documents in detail and names the names responsible for planting the seeds of FDR’s dabbling in the socialistic “New Deal” policies that are still with us. She also shows how FDR’s policies prolonged the Great Depression by what some historians now say was an additional seven years. Someone should suggest Obama and the editors at Time read this book.
