It's an interesting trajectory the Chosen One has followed in MSM theology.

First He was the next JFK.

Next He became the Messiah, and was made Man, and dwelt among us.

Now He is the next FDR, which is (depending upon your point of view) either above or below the next JFK, but probably not as hip as the Messiah.

From lowering the oceans to lowering expectations. From new politics to old politics. From post-racial America to racists lurking under every bed. From each according to his ability. To each according to his need.

Mwalimu, you're correct about the MSM and race hustlers shouting "racism" every time anyone opposes anything Obama proposes. On the other hand, they're going to have to make up their minds or be more specific about the type of "racism" involved, because Harvard Prof. Charles Ogletree, one of Obama's campaign advisors, is on videotape (still on YouTube) saying Obama isn't African American, he's just "bi-racial." :-?

Of course, the GOP is so namby-pamby, guilt ridden and used to letting liberals define the terms of issues and arguments that I have no doubt conservative congressional leaders will be on the evening news every night apologizing for their alleged sins.

Actually, I don't think Obama is the new FDR. FDR, hard as it is to remember at this late date, really did envision his social programs as temporary aid. Obama is more like the new LBJ, with his "Great Society" programs.

Interesting article by al-AP:

Obama has more threats than other presidents-elect.

Key quote:

Threats against a new president historically spike right after an election, but from Maine to Idaho law enforcement officials are seeing more against Barack Obama than ever before. The Secret Service would not comment or provide the number of cases they are investigating. But since the Nov. 4 election, law enforcement officials have seen more potentially threatening writings, Internet postings and other activity directed at Obama than has been seen with any past president-elect, said officials aware of the situation who spoke on condition of anonymity because the issue of a president's security is so sensitive.

The second sentence contradicts the first. al-AP offers only an anonymous source to make some sweeping charges (gee – where have we heard that before? Oh, right! al-AP's imaginary Jamil Hussein.).

Where was the MSM's worry about the assassination porn that was so prevalent during the Bush administration (like this one)?

Get ready for years of the MSM making the "opposition to Obama = racism and assassination" argument. Dictatorships rely heavily on paranoia, and the coming Messiah thugocracy will be no exception. Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez regularly claimed (at least several times a year) that each was in imminent danger of US death squads,

I think the illuminati have done a good enough job at making Obama look like a hero that it doesn't really matter what they say about Obama at this point in time or what people find out, the country is going to give Obama his shot. The real test will come when he starts implementing some of these things. Then we'll see what people think.

As more historians look closer at FDR's record, fewer are enamored with it. But Time is so far to the Left that it's about to fall off the edge of the Earth, so it's adoration is to be expected.

Anyone who hasn't already done so should read The Forgotten Man, by Amity Shlaes. She documents in detail and names the names responsible for planting the seeds of FDR's dabbling in the socialistic "New Deal" policies that are still with us. She also shows how FDR's policies prolonged the Great Depression by what some historians now say was an additional seven years. Someone should suggest Obama and the editors at Time read this book.

I'm not sure which prospect is scarier: that people voted for Obama knowing his background and what he is likely to do, or that they voted for him in ignorance.
