Oh, yeah, that’s a great idea! Mrs Clinton couldn’t keep her dear husband on message during the primary campaign; why would our next president think that using former President Clinton for anything would be anything other than having a loose cannon on board?

You won’t hear Illinois or Arkansas complaining. In addition to former Clinton administration faithful are corrupt Chicago mobsters, e.g., Valerie Jarrett and Rahm Emanuel not to mention all sorts of compadres all the way up to the Governor’s office as well as UC and Hyde Park which is nearly the same thing only more corrupt.

There’s corruption and bad politics everywhere and most of the time. Born during Ike’s 1st term and as yet have no reason to believe it will change anytime soon. But everyone needs to pitch in to have a chance. In addition to fine posts and comments we all need to direct some of this to those we elect. It is not all that is needed but certainly the minimum.

So then can somebody please explain to me why she was his first choice for secretary of state, and why he offered it to her?

1) It removes a potential 2012 rival from her independent power base.

2) It lends (a bit) some heft to the foreign-policy credentials of the incoming administration. Note the number of Clintonistas he’s bringing in. Change?

3) You can bet he’ll want to use Bill and his schmoozing skills, and having Hillary in the Cabinet makes that much easier.

What I don’t get is why she would accept.

Well maybe the illuminati do deserve each other but do we deserve that? i want to see obama stick to his word and actually bring this bipartisan flare that he has talked so much about. Let’s see it!
