It’s 35 degrees, feels like 27 degrees according to Weather.com, and the temperature is falling. I don’t have a fireplace, so I guess I’ll have to settle for the next best thing:

I saw something today I thought I’d never see again: Gas at an Exxon station I pass on the way home was $1.99 a gallon.
How much is it where you are?

About $2.98. Thanks to extra taxes and costs due to environmental regulations, gas here is usually about $1 more expensive than the rest of the nation.
Anthony, you need to move to a red state
It is cold here but at least gas is around $2.09 where I live, we have Jan. weather in NC love the global warming going on
I saw an ARCO (shameless plug!) here in Pasadena, CA at $2.29c. What I worry now is how people will forget about the price of gas until it goes as it will under President-elect Obama. Then we will hear the “Drill baby, drill” and then President Obama will say, inflate those tires and ride your bike. Or better yet, take that unreliable public transport. UGH!
Wish I had a fireplace (my younger sister does). I’m usually used to the cold, but it is getting harder and harder every year.
Gas is down to $1.90 in Milwaukee (I round up; after all, you pay that extra penny on 9 out of every 10 gallons).
$1.85 here in Nashville (Whites Creek) TN.
Saw it for $1.98 today, finally.
In Laurel MD the cash price this evening dropped another 2 cents to $1.76. So this is the lowest yet.
Around $2.40 here in the San Jose area.
$1.799/gal in my small town, southeast of Austin, Tx.
And hopefully going down.
Sis, I’m trying to have sympathy for your 35º F, but when it’s 20º F up here in the Poconos, it’s kind of difficult.
And I just paid my heating oil bill: $754.55 . . . .
Gasoline is about $2.39 a gallon here, but Pennsylvania has some of the highest fuel taxes in the nation, at 31.2¢ per gallon.
I can’t, ST. I’m on a mission to save my beloved home.
(Talk about a forlorn hope!
)
$2.17 a gallon here in Lost Wages. Did you see the story about the first female 4 star general in the Army?
Â¥1.04 here! Woo Hoo!!!!!…………a liter.
It was almost ¥1.50, so percentage wise around a 35% drop.
$1.99 at my usual stop. The same up the road, and $2.06 at the nearest Shell.
Heavens! Obama has created a miracle! It couldn’t be the way things work, could it? Nah, it must be a miracle by The One! And without even taking office! What a Messiah Obama is!

Late last week premium 93 octane was $2.219 here locally at the BP station. Didn’t check but I’d guess regular was a tad above 2 bucks a gallon.
I just filled up at 1.88 here in western IL, or course I was in Eastern IA when I bought gas.
Illinois is about $0.10 per gallon higher, and since I am in Iowa all the time I buy it there. Come and arrest me Slobadon Blogovich!!! It was a nice break and will definately help our economy. I think December is going to be better than we imagine. We shall see. – Lorica
Anywhere from $1.79 to $1.87 per gallon in southern NJ. For some reason the BP stations are a few cents cheaper, but if I recall correctly BP is connected to Oooogo Chavez, so I won’t go there.
Citgo is connected to Oogo, not BP as far as I know. I avoid Citgo/7-11 gas for that reason.
Thanks, Sev,you’re right – it is Citgo I was thinking of, not BP, that’s a few cents cheaper.
From what I understand BP’s primary interest holder is the Queen of England. Thankfully she won’t get in bed with Chavez. – Lorica
Ranges from $1.639 to $2.19 in the Austin, TX area. If you want to stay on top of gas prices around the country, as well as your particular area, go to Gasbuddy ( http://www.gasbuddy.com/ ) and join up. It has saved me literally hundreds of dollars over the years. When I know I’ll be needing gas soon, I scan the lists for the areas I’ll be driving and can see twenty cents (often more) difference per gallon within a short distance. I find it invaluable.
