What makes you think that we are in this utopia??? We just elected a man because of the color of his skin, not the content of his character. If we would have had an honest analysis of his character, there is a good possibility he would never have been elected to anything again. – Lorica

Just curious, why are there no African-Americans in the US Senate?

African-Americans make up 11-13% of our country, right? If we were truly in the utopia that MLK envisioned, the odds are pretty long that random chance explains the absence of any black senators.

I disagree with Rush that it would be a national disgrace to replace Obama with anyone who is not black, but it is a mischaracterization to say that Rush said qualifications were irrelevant.

Trish, Now that you bring her up, OMG that is just a horrifying thought. Carol Mosely-Braun, was about as stupid as there can be found on this planet. When she got back from her African Tour and said that Sani Abbacha, the dictator of Nigeria, was a wonderful person, I just lost it. She even went so far as to defend him when our Government wanted put sanctions against him. Just another Chicago Democrat politician, as dumb as a box of rocks.

I really have no clue who Slobo is going to appoint. It won’t matter, it will be the lowest of human kind, another Chicago politician. We in downstate/central Illinois are just shafted. Chicago just has too many people who are always going to vote wrongly. – Lorica

I am all for electing a black man for president, I think it’s great! But to say we need to replace him in the senate with another black man is ridiculous. Are they going to say Obama needs to be replaced by another black man or women when he is done being the president? The liberal illuminati need to let go of their issue and just let things be. The country is going in a good direction and we are finally starting to look beyond gender and race, let it be! Embrace the natural flow of things don’t force. What good is love what it’s forced. NONE!

This also holds true for the Govenor of New York, and Delaware. Since the Gov of NY is a black man I would expect him to appoint a person of color. It is sad to see how MLK’s dream has been abandoned in favor is skin color these days.

Trish I agree, Slobadon Blagovich should have stepped down by now. I can’t stand the man. I am still very upset that he hasn’t been charged for his mob crimes.

Helen, Blagovich would never offer the job to Condi. He is so partisan even the Democrat led legislature can’t get along with him, and that’s saying alot.

It just seems to me that Rush is looking to be the replacement for Barack. I guess it is the old “Early bird” attitude at work here. – Lorica

To say what Mr Rush said proves the difference between people who truly want a stronger America and peolpe who want to whine and complain for more of what they want. I just finished reading in The Bible about Moses and God’s own chosen people wandering around in the desert for 40 years before being allowed to go to the promised land for that very reason. Greatness is acheived by doing, not by feeling sorry for yourself and complaining. If there is a candidate to replace Barak Obama that happens to be black and that person is the most qualified, then that person should get the appoinment and if the most qualified person happens to be white, they should get it. To suggest that a person of any color should get an appoinment because of color is the MOST RACIST thing I have ever heard. Mr. Rush are you trying to cause racial problems to get worse ?
