This one not only confirms the findings of the original Ziegler poll, but it has 1000 responses (alchemist's magic threshhold for a valid poll), including both McCain and Obama voters. The single most damning item goes directly to the complete ignorance of the Obama voters of basic civics. From ST's Hot Air link, on the simple question of which party controlled Congress:

Those that got "congressional control" correct voted 56-43 for McCain.

Those that got "congressional control" wrong voted 65-35 for Obama.

Flipping those numbers around, the McCain voters got the correct answer by 63-27. The Obama voters got it wrong by 43-41.

(Yes, I'm aware that some say that knowing which party controls Congress is a "GOP talking point". I still think it's an indicator of a minimum baseline of civic awareness.)

But ST's main point is that the emphasis should be on the miserable job the MSM did of informing people - except when it suited their agenda. That's why 64% of the voters across the board didn't know about Obama getting everyone else kicked off the ballot to secure his first election. But only 3% missed the news about Bristol Palin's pregnancy.

That doesn't mean McCain would have won had the MSM done a proper job of vetting Obama. Certain types of moral relativists - for example, the kind who would find excuses to condone abortion gift certificates - could score 100% and still vote Obama. But the indictment of the MSM can't be overlooked.
