Barry Oh! has promised a “full airing” of any interaction anyone on his staff may have had with Blago with regards to his Senate seat.

So now the guy is elected. We have more important things to do than worry about things that ought to have been considered before he was.

Blagojevich is obviously not going to go without a major fight, which has the potential to damage Democrats. Thus the efforts to short-circuit the law. And the “mentally incapacitated” argument dovetails nicely with the deeply-held belief among Democrats that anyone who disagrees with them is insane.

That’s what I expect President-Elect Barack Obama will soon be saying. Why? Well, first he said he was confident his aides had no negotiations with Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich (D-DumbAsDirt) about whom to appoint as a replacement for Obama in……

I doubt the media will hold anyone to account. They will only make a lot of noise, “full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”

The thing to remember here is that of course somebody on the Obama team spoke to Blago about the Senate seat. Of course they would! Why wouldn’t they have expressed some interest in who the governor would appoint?

And what that person is named, so what? We already have Blago on the tape saying in the crudest way what he thinks of the Obama team, and how they weren’t going to pay him off. Blago’s their own best defense.

This is not unlike the business with Sarah Palin and Troopergate. Remember that one? Oh those suffering from Palin Derangement Syndrome were sure that once all was revealed she would have to leave the ticket. Never happened, of course. Same here: they will release the name of somebody who had some kind of conversation with Blago, the mediots will say, “aha!” and the guy will get a week detention and told to write an essay of no fewer than 250 words on honesty. Just like Palin was told she had violated rules, and told never to do it again, and otherwise received no punishment at all.

Actually (and I doubt if the mediots are smart enough to figure this out–for sure they’re not smart enough to have noticed how Obama has outmaneuvered them at every turn for over a year) we’ll know there’s a coverup if it’s revealed that nobody spoke to Blago. That would be implausible.

Personally, I have turned off the TV and refuse to listen to any more on the subject. The feigned incredulousness and the staggering stupidity of the mediots makes me want to throw up. Who needs it? I got two “Fringe” episodes, one “Bones” ep, a couple of “Sarah Connors,” and last night’s CSI, where Laurence Fishburne debuted, on the old DVR. So I’m relying on you, ST, to wake me when it’s over.
