Omapian, that’s gonna be comedy gold ……at least for those who haven’t assumed a permanently cocked position.

All those who fail to make front the page of the Times rag or are runnerup for the Nobel Pieces prize, can find solace and recognition, which is about all they strive for and demonstrate a consistent capability for.

How about a Baghdad Bob Journalism award with these major categories:
A (Al Sharpton/Twana Brawley) -promoting Political Correctness over factual information.
B (Bob) – presenting opinions that fly in the face of observable facts.
C (Curic) – setting up interviews to provide ‘got ya’ edits.
D (Dan) – manufacturing data to fit an agenda.

I believe readers could identify many more categories and provide nominees. It could be a fun exercise.

Mr Skubinna: Our friends on the left were willfully deceiving themselves on that; they figured that Mr Obama was simply taking the civil unions approach to keep from alienating some voters he could otherwise win. They never really expected him to be telling the truth any more than we did, so they’re shocked, shocked! to find out that, for once, he was.

Unfortunately, Mr Sullivan has gone from a canny onserver and writer to someone who’s job is to be Permanently Offended; he is the embodiment of Al Capp’s S.W.I.N.E. — Students Wildly Indignant about Nearly Everything. Since Mr Sullivan has gone from his homosexuality being simply part of his being to the Center Of His Universe, he has simply lost it: anything that even remotely touches upon homosexuality is more than a red flag for Mr Sullivan, but a slap in the face, one about which he must write, one at which he must wax wroth.

Obama is already on record as being opposed to gay marriage, so Sullivan has been nothing but willfully obtuse.
