Happy New Year to you Dear!!! This is going to be an exciting year. I think that the last couple of years were mundane compared to what we are going to see in 2009. I have so little hope for this incoming adminstration. I figure America will survive tho. Heck if Carter couldn’t destroy this country with his incompetance, Barack won’t be able to either. I just Thank God most Presidents these days want a 2nd term.

Grats on the new Baby Girl. I always figure that if I ever had a baby girl I would name her after our dear blog mistress. Sister Toldjah McMillan. Man I crack myself up.

As far as resolutions, I resolve to drink less, smoke fewer cigars, watch less football until August, and speak my mind less. I also resolve to be more upbeat about our new country, the USSA, United Socialist States of America. YAY!! Thank you Democrats, cuz this is working sooooo well in Europe, we should bring it here. I do so crack myself up.

I’m not into making NY resolutions, because they’re generally nothing but empty gestures towards what we think we ought to do but have no real committment towards finishing. The way I see it, if you need to do something, you take care of it when you need to do it, and January 1 isn’t some talisman of seriousness.

As a lapsed Catholic I think Lenten sacrifices are much better, because most people can quit smoking or soda or watching soap opera or whatever for a 40 day period, and having done so it’s not too difficult to go all the way and quit for good afterwards.

However, for ST’s sake I will make this earnest attempt: I hereby resolve that starting in 2009 I shall curb my insane jealousy of Lorica. After all, it isn’t his fault that ST favors him over other, much more worthy candidates.
