A president being a role model is fine

… and is the way it should be but, seriously, this Obama worship is just too much (via MM).

What’s next? The Barack Obama Prayer Book? 8-|

Gateway Pundit asks more questions here.

(I should note that the WaPo article was published in mid-December. I guess a lot of us conservative bloggers missed it the first time around.)

You could call it Obama discipline or Obama etiquette, and it goes something like this:

Get up! Do you think Obama would have slept late and not made it to school on time?

Why don’t you guys share? Don’t you think Obama would want you to share?

How much did you read? Obama would have finished the book by now.

Oh my goodness..What has BO done again? You know I have heard of quotes like..
Get up! Do you think YOUR FATHER would have slept late and not made it to school on time?

Why don’t you guys share? Don’t you think YOUR MOTHER would want you to share?

How much did you read? YOUR FRIENDS would have finished the book by now.

    silly me..

“Look at Barack! . . . During the campaign, no matter what, Obama always took the high road,” she told him.

    =))=))=))

That’s right Malcolm. All Barack did was bully all of the other candidates off of the ballot to become Senator, after hanging out with racists and domestic terrorists!!

Also, when you have the entire media/Hollywood/ childishly insulting the Republican candidate and digging up everything they have done while ignoring Barack’s squeaky clean past, YOU TOO can be president!!

Yes, Malcolm, there is a Barack Obama, and he is truly a role model to us all.

  3. LOL NC – if their child is caught lying, I wonder if there’s any parent out there who would ask, “But would Obama do that?”

Hmm. On second thought, yeah, there are probably many people out there who would ask that question seriously and think the answer is “no.”

    Sigh …

Edited to add: It’d be hilarious if any child asked that question answered: “Obama wouldn’t want me to lie, but he’s shown he’s not above doing it himself!” :)) Now that would be a kid who paid attention!

  4. Every time I think Obama worship can’t get any worse, I am proven wrong.

This stuff is cultish. It definitely mirrors what went on in the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century. No, I am not saying Obama is a dictator, but the cult of personality surrounding him has parallels. It’s at the point where it’s undenyable.

Wait until he’s actually in office!! That backlash will get more vicious for anyone who dare criticizes the One. They will be immediately be labeled a racist and all the stops will be pulled out to silence them.

  6. Hey, Sis, about that Obama prayer book. As an Episcopalian, we have enough problems with those wanting to change our Book of Common Prayer! But I worry about this. That all the worship could turn ugly if President-elect Obama does not deliver on his promises. Hope and change only go so far. Once he becomes president, it is a whole new ball game. And let us see if he can really keep the lefty Dems in congress in check. Hope and change, baby! Hope and change!

It might be kinda nice to have a black hero who is a real success story to hold up as an example instead of sports figures who do steroids, celebs who do drugs, or rappers who do time. Good job, Obama! Think about it. Now that old You could grow up to be … gag works for blacks too.

    Role model?

Right now he is voting “present” concerning the Gaza thing.

I bet he votes “present” if we are hit by terrorists again too …. from like maybe Hawaii or somewhere.

Again, I ask what has BO done again to be a role model?
