I heard in the news yesterday that China is not going to but anymore of our debt. So in order to pay for this "stimulus" we are going to end up printing the money. Now the Reps need to be out there telling that to the American People. Nothing devalues a currency like the wonton use of the printing press. - Lorica

We-el, if the bill were really anything more than a symbolic measure designed to show that "something is being done," I'd applaud the GOP for standing on their principles. But since it is all about convincing Americans that the problems in the economy are being attended to, all they've done is show that they're on the wrong side of symbolic history. I'd say they were jumping off a cliff, except for the fact that I imagine all of the remaining GOP Representatives come from safe districts, where they will suffer no electoral harm.

The Senate, however, is another story. I imagine there will be a few GOP votes there (but not very many).

=)) I just heard Nancy Pelosi tell someone that Republicans as a whole support this bill. I have a question for the Nance. How the Flock of Seagulls would she know what any Republican supports??? She has been ignoring our wants and needs for 10 years now. These Dems are so stupid. How incredibly arrogant of her to suppose to know what Republicans want. - Lorica

It may not be a long four years, all Congress-critters are up for re-election in 2010. We should get involved now!

One other point: to encourage genuine bipartisanship in the right direction, we should write and thank the Democrats who crossed the aisle. Here's a list.
