The alderman is boorish and stupid, definitely. And clearly he doesn’t care what happens to his constituents. And why should he – most of those sheep will continue to re-elect him until he retires or is packed off to a cell next to Blagojevich.

But I’m not sure this qualifies as assault, given that the citizen was in his office and presumably was asked to leave prior to being forcibly removed. If the alderman did this on a public street, then I’d agree.

But I also would defer to NC Cop’s opinion.

Maybe NC Cop can render an opinion, but it seems to me that what that Chicago alderman did met the definition of criminal assault. If I were the guy I’d sure be trying to press charges.

Unless forced outside of it, one tends to stay in one’s comfort zone. The libs/donks/whackos have been angry and hateful (insanely so in some cases) for eight solid years, and that’s their comfort zone. They won’t change.

Now the conservatives must be careful not to make that their comfort zone, too. They also have to be careful not to let the liberal anger/hate dictate who their (conservatives’) candidates are. Republicans have a tendancy to want everyone to love them, which is why we ended up with a donkey-light as our candidate for prez last year.

If anyone would like to see perhaps the most classic example of the pot calling the kettle black, read what deepok chopra had to say at the huffingtontoast this morn. It’s really very hard to figure out how anyone can have anything so backwards, but then i remembered how he has mangled spirituality in the exact same way.
I, perhaps belatedly, have come to the conclusion that Chopra’s spirituality is just a way for liberal atheists to get in on the religion action. Nothing more. Just a way to try and justify liberalism.

Sister, I think that’s the start of an excellent point. The left has so long gnashed their teeth over power-envy, just as their entitlement-enslaved minions have held their seething wealth-envy, and it “perfect stormed” its way through the general election.

Result?

So-called leaders who have no leadership ability. Which leads to the necessary existence of an off-stage scapegoat (i.e. George W. Bush, Rush Limbaugh).

That is, with no inherent sense of moral or fiscal accountability, they must always have someone on hand to blame.
