Some in Justice Department See D.C. Vote in House as Unconstitutional

  1. It’s definitely unconstitutional, because it dilutes the votes of the 50 states in Congress via a simple statute. The only way to do that constitutionally would be to make D.C. a state.

    Of course, this fits with the “situational constitutionalism” of the congressional Democrats and the administration.
