Question of the day

“When will Barack Obama apologize to George Bush?” – Ed Morrissey, wondering when Obama will finally get around to point blank acknowledging his naive campaign-era view of habeas corpus rights of suspected terrorists, in light of a Friday story in the NYT about how the Obama administration plans to appeal a district court ruling “that granted some military prisoners in [Bagram Air Base] Afghanistan the right to file lawsuits seeking their release.”

Indeed, when will he apologize to Bush? Right about the time he acknowledges Bush was right about the surge in Iraq, and that he (Obama) was horribly wrong. In other words, never.

President Obama will apologize to George Bush——when cows fly! Unfortunately, I believe that President Obama doesn’t have the fortitude or wherewithall to apologize for anything. We saw then President Bush be fair and invite President Obama to the White House and be involved in WH meetings before he was sworn in as a courtesy – certainly something the Clinton’s didn’t do for President Bush. The Democrats don’t have the guts or humility to apologize even when they are wrong.

His campaign-era view wasn’t naive, it was a well planned, contrived and calculated use of idiots who wouldn’t know a fact if it slapped them upside their heads. The only ways a socialist dictator can come to power is either by violent overthrow or by fooling stupid people. Barack chose the latter.
