Thanks ST for the funniest story I’ve read all day! Yes, we as humans evolved from sail to steam and diesel and nuclear for two main reasons; that we could either outrun storms for our safety, or not be caught in doldrums with our sails luffing and run out of food. Carbon dioxide is what plants live on, you vegans!

Why couldn’t they just plant a few trees? No, they had to prove that they could be the new Leif Eriksons of the carbon-neutral set. So I think God had a little fun with these guys…

I tarried a little bit at the Treehuger site…but really, I couldn’t take it too seriously. It smacks too much of social engineering with some science tossed in for good measure.

…to show how journeys to some of the wildest, untouched places on the planet can be undertaken with minimal impact on the environment…

Soooo that’s how ya do it in La La land…..sure showed us, huh. :-\

Darwin was an optomist….As Trish said, why.l-)
